What do rivers tell us? How have they connected people, cultures, memory, and life through time? “Rivers of the Past” invites you to dive into the memories of the river – a walk through artistic interpretations of the relationship between people, the past, and the Yantra.
The tours will be guided by the “Design by the Yantra” team – a group of inspiring young people who worked hand in hand with curators, researchers, and artists to bring this exhibition to life. During the tour, you’ll learn more about the initiative, the creative process, the river itself, and the stories behind each piece.

“Transformative Urbanism – reconnecting people with Yantra river” is a project funded by EUNIC Bulgaria and is implemented by The Collective and VT Events. EUNIC is the European network of national cultural institutes and organizations, with 39 members from all EU countries and associated states. The European partners in this project are the Bulgarian representations of the cultural institutes of the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Spain, and the United Kingdom, as well as the Austrian Embassy.
