🤝 We held an open informational and working meeting where we presented the project Danube Dance Alliance for Development of the Contemporary Dance Scene in the Danube Region, implemented under the Creative Europe programme 🎨. We shared the interventions we carried out ✨, how we worked with different communities and spaces, and how art stepped beyond its usual frameworks to meet people where they live and act 🌱.
The conversation naturally moved toward the second year of the project 📆 and the specific placemaking initiatives we are about to implement within the framework of the festivals:
Speculum Artium — Trbovlje, Slovenia
Pippi Longstocking Festival / Pippi’s Festival — Velenje, Slovenia
Dance and Non-Verbal Theatre Festival San Vincenti — Svetvinčenat, Croatia
Solo Festival — Belgrade, Serbia
Contemporary Dance Festival — Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina
The meeting continued with ideas 💡 on how to present the joint digital dance performance of the project, which will be showcased at each of these festival locations 🌍. At the Rivers of Sofia 2026 edition, visitors will also be able to experience a VR video of the performance, as well as live storytelling about the processes and encounters that took place during the project.
