The rivers of Sofia – isolated, concreted and deserted. We pass by them and frankly we feel sad. And probably every second person standing over the canal of the boulevards “Evlogi and Hristo Georgievi” and “Slivnitsa” has wondered why Sofia does not have clean, regulated and normal central rivers. Or maybe Sofia’s “canals” need a little to make us feel like parks and rivers? Festival: The Rivers of Sofia is the first event of the long-term initiative The Rivers of Sofia, which comes to show that it takes a little to use them as a place for recreation, culture and sports. Behind the idea of Rivers of Sofia have already stood some of the most active and responsible organizations, businesses and individual citizens, united around the idea that it takes a little to rediscover the rivers of Sofia and turn them into an active part of city life. The festival is held in three key places: On the Perlovska River near the National Stadium “Vasil Levski” and on the Vladayska River under the Lion’s Bridge and next to the street. “Three Ears” in the district. “Zone B-5”.
