Between September 17 and 20, 2025, The Collective Foundation participated in the prestigious international festival for new media and digital art Speculum Artium in Trbovlje, Slovenia. The foundation presented its project “Rivers of the People: Reimagining the Urban Shoreline” – an innovative 360-degree VR installation documenting an artistic intervention along the riverside area of the Yantra River in Veliko Tarnovo.
Through virtual reality, visitors in Trbovlje had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the process of creating the art installation, to feel the energy of the local community, and to experience the transformation of the river into a place for encounters, creativity, and dialogue.
The Speculum Artium Festival, held this year for the 17th time, is one of the most established events in Central Europe dedicated to the intersection of art, science, and new technologies.

The participation of The Collective in the event was carried out under Project No BG-RRP-11.020-0175 “Rivers of the People”, funded by the National Culture Fund through the Grant Scheme with Two Sessions “Creation of Bulgarian Productions and Co-productions in the Cultural and Creative Industries Sector and Their Promotion on European and International Art Markets” of the Recovery and Resilience Plan.
